Plant Root System & Shoot System
Plants have two major organ systems; the root system and the shoot system. These two systems consist of several structures working together in order to absorb nutrients from the environment, to perform photosynthesis and/or to reproduce. Plant structure and function are closely related, as you will see.
The roots are have three major functions: anchoring the plant to the soil, absorbing water and minerals and transporting them upwards to the rest of the plant, and storing the products of photosynthesis. Some types of roots can also perform gas exchange, and a few types of plants have adventitious roots which are at least partially above ground. There are two major types of roots; tap roots...

Hershey and Chase Experiment: DNA is the Molecule of Heredity
Просмотров 65 тыс.2 года назад
The classic Hershey and Chase Experiment proved conclusively that DNA was the molecule of heredity in 1952. Dr. Alfred Hershey and Dr. Martha Chase’s now famous experiment was actually the third major investigation into what genes are made of. They learned from the previous work of Frederick Griffith in 1928 and Oswald Avery, Colin MacLeod and Maclyn McCarty in 1944. Griffith's Experiment Video...
Avery Experiment: DNA as the Transforming Principle
Просмотров 78 тыс.2 года назад
The Avery, MacLeod and McCarty classic experiment helped to prove that DNA is the molecule of heredity. Previously, it was thought that proteins were the most likely biomolecule that transferred inheritance information from parent to offspring. Avery's experiment built on the foundation of Griffith's earlier work, in which he identified a "transforming principle" that allowed bacteria to acquir...
Griffith's Experiment: Bacterial Transformation
Просмотров 124 тыс.3 года назад
This video explains Griffith's experiment to prove the existence of a "transformation principle" via experimentation with mice and two kinds of pneumonia bacteria. His work paved the way for Avery, McCarty and MacLeod to later prove the DNA is the molecule of heredity. Thank you! Did my homework 10m before the class because of you
I've watched almost every single photosynthesis video and NO ONE explains where the first RuBP comes from. No one realizes that this creates a chicken and egg problem.
where does the breakup of water occur? in psii?
This concept is really hard for me. Not after watching this vid! My teacher will never explain how you do.. I wish i had a teacher like you making things easy to learn..
The best explanation I ever saw
So well explained and ilustrated!! Thank you, BogoBio!!! 🤓💕
this is so helpful
exhuasted electron? geez... please use real scientific terms.
WDYM WITH C3 C4 PLANTS?
So helpful! Thank you!!! 😍🤩🤓
Thank you so much!!!
ok but why do two words (hyper and hypo-tonic) in science always sound so much alike (this is in many sciences...) and mean the complete opposite :(( good luck everyone who is here and also studying btw

I'm currently on vacation but I'm advanced studying and oh boy this is such a wonderful video, it's easy to understand compared to all the estimated 50+ videos I've watched this week 😭 thank you!
Thank u . I now understand . GBU
Do a video on immunoassays and chromatography also
Mahnn..this video worth millions of views I dont know y ,extraordinary ones r always underrated
yes flowering plants may contain both male and female flowers.. but some are dioecious
i dont like the FLATULANCE{ Fart} example
But WHO created all these OPTİMAL and PURPOSEFUL functions ???? Cf spider silk, giraffe necks, smart OCTOPUSSES !!!!
❤ thanks for the explanation
This video is so good :)
I didn't understand how CAM photosynthesis helps prevent rubisco from using oxygen though. It just seems like it prevents moisture loss to the environment.
❤
wow...turn that volume down a bit...you seem angry....like what natural selection does weeding out the bad stuff. We don't want it.
The way your are teaching is very understandable thanks for this video mam 💙
